An audiovisual essay film about the anarchy of nature, questioning the current state of our society.
This audiovisual essay film spurs the imagination in the form of a travelog through constructed and anonymous landscapes. Narratives that weave together the visual, the auditory and the specific tell of loss, searching, being, vigilance, responsibility, struggle and freedom. When it comes to life and survival, which traditional and current values should be passed on and preserved for the future? What alternative mindsets and measures can we adopt to ensure our world endures?
DAVOR SANVINCENTI (b. 1979) is interested in audiovisual phenomenology and the anthropology of visual culture, focusing particularly on the conditions and forms of human senses and perceptions. His practice finds form in a variety of media: film and video, photography, physical light and sound installations, and live media performance. His work plays with the concept of illusion, exploring the boundaries of perception and the construction of experience.
