Culture and appropriation are the themes of the films in PROGRAM 5: NEVER COME BACK is a staging of works from the collection of the Neue Galerie Graz that is as unusually mannered as it is surprising. In CULTUUR, thoughts on origin are combined with cultural events that are closely observed in the immediate surroundings.

MOUNE O repeats and questions images and memories that revolve around a film whose history around colonial power relations does not quite want to belong to the past. NEIGHBOUR ABDI tells its story in the here and now: In the studio and in front of the green screen, we see the cinematic realization of a refugee experience emerge, in which Abdi not only stars but also co-directs.
