Yugoslavia in the 1960s and 1970s: a young family moves from the countryside to a small Slovenian town, where new factories need a willing workforce. The brothers at the heart of the narrative grow up in an environment that is both unstable and magical, immersed in the everyday rhythms of a community founded on the ideology of the time. Suddenly, the medium of film—and all the mysticism that comes with the format—is discovered. A found-footage portrait of a bygone era on Super 8.
TOMAZ PAVKOVIC is a camera operator, editor, director and multimedia artist. He is a co-founder of Luksuz produkcija and serves as a mentor for various younger colleagues in the industry. He has shot and directed numerous short films that have been screened at international film festivals.
